EMPIRE

THE NEW ALBUM

- OUT NOW -

“The album’s technical brilliance is matched by its emotional depth… With “Empire”, CZARINA doesn’t just make music; she builds immersive sound worlds that are as emotionally profound as they are complex.”

- Alternation Magazine

“CZARINA’s music is equal parts ethereal, expansive, and transportive—an immersive journey to realms of wonder and introspection…. ‘Empire’ expands upon the cinematic, otherworldly soundscape she created with ‘Arcana’”

- Synthpop Fanatic -

“Empire surges with a fierce blend… Imagine Florence and the Machine, Annie Lennox, Enya, Grace Slick, and Loreena McKennitt crossed with the surreal intensity of a Philip K. Dick tale - C Z A R I N A’s vocal resonate like a call to the cosmos, charged and cinematic, woven with the divine feminine.”

- Post-Punk.com

“From the transhumanist-themed drama of ‘Rebirth’, the timpani-laden intensity of ‘Dark Star’ and the frenzied darkness of ‘Ghost Machine’ to the Sci-Fi futurepop of ‘Exoskeleto’ and the title track’s epic orchestrated pop… this third CZARINA long player is not lacking in spirit, adventure or imagination.”

ABOUT

CZARINA ® (styled as C Z A R I N A) is Vero Faye Kitsuné, an American award-winning electronic rock musician, producer, composer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. Also known as a visual art and film alchemist, CZARINA has a long, distinguished career as a creative director and designer in the fashion industry. Originally from New York City, she now resides amidst the lush seascapes of Costa Da Morte in Galicia, Spain, where she forges transcendent themes with her passion for futurist culture, mythology, folklore, mysticism, the occult, Sci-Fi Anime, and budo martial arts.

CZARINA’s ethereal yet heavy-hitting cerebral soundscape synthesizes electronic with organic sounds, transcending genre boundaries. Her sonic palette encompasses progressive darkwave, neo baroque, orchestral dark ethereal, gothic rock, synthpop, industrial, future pop, and post-metal. Each piece takes listeners into expansive dimensions through vast dynamics, intricate and meticulously layered compositions and production featuring atmospheric and cinematic synths, grand orchestral arrangements, gothic choirs, powerful and emotive vocals, lush guitars and piano, thunderous percussions, and complex polyrhythms. Her work is further enriched by striking visuals, and poignant, artful lyricism, drawing inspirations from a wide array of musical pioneers including Nine Inch Nails, TOOL, Massive Attack, Bjork, The Knife, Fever Ray, Puscifer, Vangelis, A Perfect Circle, The Cranberries, Enya, David Bowie, Annie Lennox, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin, QUEEN, Kate Bush, Siouxsie Sioux, Tori Amos, Joe Hisashi, Nobuo Uematsu, Hans Zimmer, Clint Mansell. Her visionary approach extends into the visual realm, influenced by Hayao Miyazaki, Guillermo Del Toro, Katsuhiro Otomo, Masamune Shirow, Yoshitaka Amano, HR Giger, and Hajime Sorayama. Together, these elements create a singular and immersive artistic universe, mirroring the mysterious depths of CZARINA’s heart, mind and spirit.

Anchored deep within the essence of her imperial nom de théâtre, CZARINA’s lore significantly delves into alchemical and quantum themes of death, rebirth, transformation, awakening, healing and catharsis - threads that weave poignantly through all her records, music and visual narratives. These artistic explorations are grounded in her profound life experiences that evoke the cyclical metamorphosis of a phoenix rising anew from the ashes.

Since her 2018 musical debut, CZARINA has cultivated a dedicated cult following and garnered critical acclaim. Her records have consistently received accolades, including recognition in Music Connection’s Hot 100 Independent Artists, and her sophomore record “Arcana” (2022) being named Album of the Year by esteemed synthpop authority Synthpop Fanatic. Her music videos, which often explore the transformative mysteries and power of nature and the cosmos, have received numerous prestigious international film fest awards, including Music Video of the Year (2021) at New York Film Awards for “Wonderland.” And her compelling life story has been featured in prominent publications such as VOGUE Philippines, underscoring her role as an innovative multi-hyphenate of unyielding resilience and extraordinary transformation.

Aside from her musical endeavors, CZARINA currently co-runs the creative powerhouse for art, design, photography, film and bespoke products called THE KITSUNÉS with the artist DeadlyKawaii (Carlos Kitsuné), who also joins her on stage in all her live performances. The two often spend their time in nature where they draw inspiration for their work, often accompanied by their mischievous French Bulldog, Hamlet Bacon.
